10 Things to do in the Hamptons for 4th of July Weekend

Heading to the Hamptons for the long weekend? Don’t forget about these 10 can’t-miss events:

Look Up!

A staple for Fourth of July weekend, fireworks can be found just about everywhere in the Hamptons. In Southampton on July 1 Grucci will be hosting an American picnic and fireworks from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.. With popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream, carnival booths and arts and crafts, the Grucci event is ideal for families. To register for this event contact EJ Leibig at or at 631-283-5847. This event will take place at 1030 Meadow Lane, Southampton. Sag Harbor Yacht Club will be holding its annual fireworks on July 2 beginning at 9:30 p.m. The show can be watched from the harbor, Havens Beach, Marine Park or Long Wharf. The Sag Harbor Yacht Club is located at  27 Bay St, Sag Harbor. The Westhampton Country Club will also kicking off its annual fireworks display on July 3 starting at 9:15 p.m. Only members will be permitted on country club grounds, but the fireworks can be seen from multiple points throughout the village. The Westhampton Country Club is located at 35 Potunk Ln, Westhampton Beach.

Enjoy Sounds of Summer

On July 1 the Parrish Art Museum will be celebrating Independence Day Weekend with exuberant live music by Mambo Loco and delicious food from Golden Pear Café. Roar Like The Lion

Guild Hall will be hosting The Lion on July 1, an original downtown musical experience performed by Benjamin Scheuer. Starting at 8 p.m. the award-winning songwriter will take viewers through his gripping coming-of-age story through the power of his music. Tickets range from $40-75 ($38-70 Members). Take in the Last Night of Ballyhoo

Bay Street Theater of Sag Harbor will be putting on Last Night of Ballyhoo, the first of its Mainstage performances, through July 24. The play tells the story of the Freitag family, living in Atlanta circa 1939, and their wild adventures as they prepare for Ballyhoo, the lavish German Jewish country club ball. Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center

Fourth of July weekend is jam packed with events at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center. On July 1, Jason Mraz will be performing starting at 8 p.m.  New York stage actor and stand up comedian Mario Cantone is prepared to deliver “rib-splittingly funny” comedy on July 2 starting at 8 p.m. Grammy-award winning Melissa Etheridge will  perform July 3 starting at 10 p.m. To purchase tickets to any of these events, click here. Jazz at the Lincoln Center at SAC

Sip on Sangria Sundays and Live Music at Harbor Bistro 

Harbor Bistro will host Sangria Sunday’s every week from now until Labor day beginning at 5 p.m. Guests may enjoy local live music overlooking the water, $5 sangrias, $6 drink specials and a variety of $8 snacks. Find Harbor Bistro at 313 Three Mile Harbor in East Hampton.

Do a SUP Yoga Class with JBYoga

Parade Down Main Street Southampton

The largest 4th of July Parade on the South Fork is in Southampton Village. The parade will begin at railroad plaza at 10 a.m. and head southward, up Main Street and finishing by a judging station at Agawam Park. Get there early to enjoy a good seat! For more information, visit
