The 16th Annual Gen Art Film Festival kicked off last night at the Ziegfeld Theater with a presentation of the dark comedy “A Beginners Guide To Happy Endings“, starring Scott Caan, Jason Jones, and Paulo Costanzo as three brothers, whose father (played by the legendary Harvey Keitel) stirs up trouble, spiralling them into one crazy evening. The film was the perfect kick-off to what is sure to be an exciting and innovative festival season and the theater was packed for the premiere. There were some recognizable faces showing up to enjoy the flick as stars of the film, Jones and Keitel were joined by 30 Rock’s Maulik Pancholy and 90210 cutie Shenae Grimes on the Hamilton Watches sponsored red carpet.

This week long festival, which runs from June 8-14 is open to the public and includes pictures starring exciting up-and-comers like Zoe Kravitz, Lake Bell and Gabourey Sidibe, as well as veterans Greg Kinnear, Jennifer Connelly, Pierce Brosnan and many more. Get your tickets at www.genart.org.
