Celebrity stylist and Bravo star Brad Goreski is now an author. His new memoir, Born to Be Brad: My Life and Style So Far recounts how a chubby boy from a small Canadian town overcame bullying and drug addiction to intern at Vogue, work alongside Rachel Zoe, find personal happiness with his longtime partner, Gary Janetti, and become a bona fide style guru and Bravolebrity with his own show.
His is an inspirational story worthy of a celebration, and DETAILS and Tommy Hilfiger saw to it that Mr.Goreski was properly feted on Monday night.
Rashida Jones, Christine Teigen, Peter Som, Monika Chiang, Eugenia Gonzalez, Danielle Nachmani, and Bravo’s own Andy Cohen were just a few of the many celebrities, designers, and style-setters who stopped by Hilfiger’s Fifth Avenue Flagship Store to toast their good friend whilst sipping signature cocktails and grooving to the tunes of DJ Sammy.
The always dapper Goreski (in head to toe Hilfiger, natch) gamely held court on the ground floor of the store, offering style tips and advice to friends, fans and reporters. Now that the stylist-to-the-stars spends many of his waking hours on both coasts, are there any sartorial cues that he thinks Angelenos can pick up from New Yorkers and vice versa? ”LA could learn to refine things a bit,” Goreski told AVENUEinsider, “and New Yorkers could learn to wear a little more color – don’t you think?”
Time to make those Spring fashion resolutions, dear readers.
