BB Contemporary’s new art exhibition, Binary Existence, debuted Thursday, July 12 on the Upper East Side. The exhibition’s curators, Natasha Ulyanov and Lindsay Sullivan, joined forces to put together a show that displays a slew of diverse artists united by a theme of self-identification.
Featured artists Jess Larson, Anton Kandinsky, Dulce Pinzon, Lee, GanU, Shantell Martin, Yasmine Chatila, and Jin-Seob Yun each brought something unique to the show to participate in the conversation of identification and its implications.
Yasmine Chatila’s voyeuristic style photographs peer into the lives of subjects through New York City windows while Jin-Seob Yun’s sculptures play with the idea of fashion as a means of self-expression.
Ulyanov and Sullivan certainly have proved to be a dynamic duo with the success of BB Contemporary’s premiere show, Binary Existence. The show will be on display until July 18. Private appointments are available by request.
