Grammy Award-winning producer Kasseem ‘Swizz Beatz’ Dean was honored at Children’s Rights’ Seventh Annual Benefit on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. The event was co-chaired by Nick Cannon and Michael Cayre. Children’s Rights Board Member Darryl “DMC” McDaniels kept the crowd in high spirits as the vibrant emcee for the evening.
Hugh Hildesley, Executive VP and Senior Auctioneer at Sotheby’s, ran the foundation’s annual reverse auction—which yielded $200,000 dollars for the foundation. The Children’s Rights Benefit brings awareness to and support for campaigns in defense of the legal rights of abused and neglected children in foster care throughout the country. Supporters in attendance include Moises de la Renta, Saehel Golestan, Amy Laurent, Tom Murro, Laurent and Catherine Biron, and Carlos Alvarez-Araynon.
