Last weekend’s 88th Academy Awards ceremony was an entertaining and powerful examination of diversity controversy (comedian and host, Chris Rock, tackled the #OscarsSoWhite debacle pointedly and with a disarming array of jokes and a few squirmy moments). Film industry’s prom night equivalent event was held at Dolby Theatre and celebrated the cinematic achievements, including the final Best Actor golden statuette for Oscar’s golden boy and everyone’s favorite, Leonardo Dicaprio. The bash also marked the crescendo of awards season with the biggest Hollywood stars bringing their A game on the red carpet. But the best fashion happened off the red carpet, at the Vanity Fair Annual Oscar party, the town’s glitziest event. From red carpet veteran, Diane Kruger’s burgundy sequined sheer column gown by Reem Acra, that was the definition of glamour, to the newly minted fashion starlet, Alicia Vikander’s sultry black sequined number by Louis Vuitton,  in contrast to her dusty yellow princess red carpet dress, we have all the Vanity Fair after-party looks you might have missed.  Because Hollywood royalty, Angelica Huston’s custom Yeohlee, inspired by Marlene Dietrich’s role in “The Blue Angel” is worth seeing, again and again. Click through our slideshow to see this year’s best Oscars 2016 party fashion moments.
