Shenae Grimes may be best known for the infamous zip code of which she resides both in real life and on our television screens, but during the shows hiatus this year, Grimes decided to take a leap of faith and get bi-coastal, spending nearly 2 months in the Big Apple. Shadowing Editor-at-Large Andrew Bevan for Teen Vogue, Shenae proved she’s willing to do whatever it takes to be her best. From lugging boxes in the closet, to hunting down the latest trends online, she proved to be no slacker. But in New York, we live by the “work hard, play hard” mantra, and Grimes made sure to get just enough of both. Becoming a fixture on the New York party scene, this Canadian gem was seen everywhere from movie premieres to gallery openings, always decked out in duds that show off her unabashedly unique style. Grimes even attended the enviable CFDA Awards as the guest of designer and board member Rebecca Taylor. Watch out fashion world, this gal’s ready to shine.

We’ll be sad to see her go back to the west-coast soon, but at least we’ll get to catch her on the upcoming season of everyone’s favorite guilty pleasure, The CW’s 90210.
