99 Homes, a new film about the dirty dealings of the Florida real estate market, may not be the most obvious project to screen in the Hamptons, but that didn’t stop the film’s director, Ramin Bahrani, and star, Michael Shannon, from coming out and showing off their work.

The film also stars Andrew Garfield, who plays a desperate construction worker who reluctantly accepts a job from the ruthless real estate broker (Michael Shannon) who evicted him and his family from their home.

Shannon, who it was recently announced will be joining Jessica Lange in the Broadway production Long Day’s Journey into Night, seemed happy to be at Guild Hall and discussed making the film and upcoming projects with guests and reporters.

Notable attendees included the film’s producer Daniel Hammond, model Christie Brinkley, designer Shoshanna Gruss and hedge fund manager Dana Auslander.
