On a hot and balmy Thursday, committee members, supporters, friends and honorees of the Asia Society’s Annual Gala Celebration cooled off in the swanky (and air-conditioned) Madison Avenue boutique Soigne K to honor Chairs Stephanie and John Foster, as well as Honorary Chair Naeem Khan. Boutique owner, Soigne Kothari herself played hostess for the night, and she delivered like no other. Also a trained chef, Kothari supplied her guests with delicious traditional Indian hors d’oeuvres and her rare Indian designer ready-to-wear and jewelry.

This past March’s Gala raised over 1 million dollars for the Asia Society, which works to promote understanding and awareness of Asian arts and culture in North America. Next years benefit is bound to be just as exciting and will take place on March 19, 2012.

What’s the Point?

Upstate, nature trumps social voyeurism. That’s the point.
