Fashion and art lovers, unite- on the West Coast.

The Museum of Contemporary Art’s exhibition Rodarte: States of Matter presents recent work in fashion and costume design (hello, Black Swan!) by Kate and Laura Mulleavy. The instillation is a series of similar conceptual vignettes, portraying garments as charged sculptural objects.

For any of you bicoastals, or those of you who are spending Passover/Easter in LA (we are jealous), there’s a chance to get the inside scoop from the designers who quickly rose to fame since launching Rodarte in 2005…

In conjunction with the installation, the sisters will discuss their influences, materials and the whole artistic process that drives their work tomorrow at the Silver Screen Theater, Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. Rebecca Morse, the exhibition’s curator and MOCA’s associate curator will moderate. Admission is free and no reservation is necessary.

If you can’t make the discussion, you can still check out the sisters’ first solo exhibition on the West Coast, which is on display until June 5th.
