A funny thing happened on the way to the A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Cure Parkinson’s Gala on Saturday night. The signature, feel-good benefit by the Michael J. Fox Foundation at the Waldorf Astoria, brought together a group of A-listers and FOMs (Friends of Michael) for an evening of laughs, music and, of course, fundraising for Parkinson’s Disease.

Denis Leary hosted the event again this year, introducing comedic sets by Lenny Clarke, Jeff Ross, and Larry Wilmore, and a musical performance by John Fogerty.

The event totally sold out as it has regularly in the past, and counted Katie Couric, Rachel Ray, Juliana Margulies, John McEnroe, Ali Wentworth, and Christopher Lloyd as attendees and supporters.

Fox recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of his classic film Back to the Future with a heartfelt blog post on the state of research and development of brain disease cures.
