A legendary night for Turnaround for Children

Friday, April 29, 2011

Last night, Turnaround for Children hosted the Second Annual Impact Awards Benefit Dinner at the Plaza Hotel. The event honored John Legend, Dr. Kelly Posner Gerstenhaber, and NBC News Education Nation.

The benefit helped raise money for Turnaround- which aims to fulfill the promise of public education by helping high-poverty, low-performing public schools transform into positive environments.

A performance by students of P.S. 32. Bronx Chorus and a live auction including Journey by Designs Safari, Chanel Couture Trip to Paris and Gourmet Food Fantasies.

Attendees included Julianna Marguelies (with hubby Keith Lieberthal), Cristina Greeven Cuomo, Maria Cuomo, Julia and David Koch, Simone Levinson, Marjorie Gubelmann, Fernanda Niven, Stephanie and David Wolkoff, Derek Blasberg, Jen Brill, Ferebee Taube, Lesley Schulhof, Eleanor Ylvisaker, Jennifer Creel, Luke Russert, Perri Peltz, Pamela Cantor, Dini von Mueffling, Brett Heyman, Bronson Van Wyck, Christina and Richard Mack, Josh Bernstein and Alex Shiva.

Since Chanel was one of the biggest sponsors of the night, many of the ladies wore Chanel LBD’s- including Emily Mortimer, Shoshanna Gruss, Rebekah McCabe and Marguelies.
