Inspiring women abounded at last night’s screening of the new Alan Rickman-directed film A Little Chaos.

Appropriately, MoMA, which has already celebrated the achievements of women like Bjork and Yoko Ono through retrospective exhibitions, played host to the event, and gathered the film’s stars and supporters to fete the story of a female landscape designer (played by Kate Winslet) who was awarded the assignment to construct the grand gardens at Versailles.

Kate Winslet, who stunned in a black cocktail dress, graced the evening with her talent and charm and spent the night laughing with director and co-star Alan Rickman. Meanwhile, some of New York’s brightest women, including journalist Diane Sawyer and actress Kathleen Turner, attended and posed on the red carpet

The party continued afterwards at The Monkey Bar where guests relaxed, had some drinks and chatted about the film before heading home.

Other attendees included, actor Christian Slater, actress Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, journalist and author Chuck Scarborough, actress Theodora Woolley, actress Lilly Englert, socialite Cornelia Guest, journalist Ann Curry, Ashley McDermott, actress Meredith Ostrom and dancer Wendy Whelan.
