A New Take on Love

Wednesday, July 13, 2011

Pamela Love is the kind of woman that all the ladies try (and fail) to emulate and all of the men try (and fail) to date. The Brooklyn-based jewelry designer just has that innate “it”-factor that can’t be taught. Having launched her line in 2006, Love has quickly become one of the most sought after accessory designers in New York, even receiving a Swarovski Award for Accessory Design nomination at this past CFDA Awards ceremony.

Well lucky for us, there’s even more Love to go around with the introduction of her first ever Resort Collection. Built on the aesthetics of her previous collections, the designer used a wider range of materials and surprising bursts of color to marry her distinctive style with her desire for customer accessibility and long-term wearability.

“This collection is about having fun with my earlier ideas and making them more affordable and wearable,” Pamela mentioned in a statement released with the collection. “I felt like there was still evolution to be found in the pieces, to make them more light and whimsical.”

I don’t know about light, but the collection is most certainly wearable. In fact, I plan to wear-out one of her amazing crystal cuffs as soon as the pieces hit the stores.
