How tiring was the constant barrage in the news of all those Republican “tea parties”? I am much more into real tea parties. Now the super-chic Mark Hotel on Madison Avenue is offering “Afternoon Tea” at The Mark Restaurant by Jean-Georges. Served from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m., you can sip tea in a Jacques Grange-designed room with two or more friends and pretend you’re with Prince William or Kate Middleton or Vivienne Westwood — any fun Brit will do. How decadent is an afternoon tea? Could the ladies who (have the free time to) lunch become the next tea partiers?
