A Toast to New York Fashion Week

Monday, September 10, 2018

We’ve reached the halfway point of New York Fashion Week and admit it—you’re exhausted. Between the shows and the parties, New York’s editors, #influencers and fashionistas could use a little R&R. Below, we’re rounded up a selection of fashion week popups perfect for refueling before you conquer the day’s events:

Fashion Forward Cocktails at The Lowell

Throughout Fashion Week, Jacques at The Lowell will be offering a fashion-inspired cocktail menu, with drinks channeling the likes of such icons as Oscar de le Renta, Coco Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent. Think: A Majorelle Garden iced tea with bourbon and mint (YSL was the former owner of the Majourelle gardens); and the Coco, which is a glass of champagne paired with caviar. The menu will be available through September 14.

A Secret Beach

Over on the West Side, NYLO Hotel has launched a Secret Beach popup, open Wednesday through Saturday until October 27. The weather outside may read “hurricane,” but Secret Beach will keep the summer vibes going. The hidden outdoor terrace has been transformed into an oceanic retreat as a part of the hotel’s Arthouse @ NYLO, an ongoing art and culture intuitive. The summer-centric cocktail menu will have you forgetting this onslaught of rain in no time.

Morning Meditation at Urban Zen

Remaining calm is easy at Urban Zen. Donna Karan’s store will be hosting morning meditation with Unplug every morning throughout Fashion Week from 8-8:45 a.m. Take time to calm any anxiety caused by an overloaded Google calendar and start the day off in the right headspace. The mediations are free, but reservations are suggested as space is limited.

Midday Touchups

Blushington, which offers express modern beauty services, will be popping up at 267 Mulberry Street in Soho through September 30. Book makeup applications, dry styling, skin treatments or polish changes to conquer the rest of Fashion Week while looking your best.
