“Thanks so much to Gabriela and Austin Hearst for a lovely dinner and wonderful welcome to New York!” Gillian Anderson tweeted about Monday night’s celebration at a private residence. The Hearsts had hosting down to a science with a dinner table beautifully set among fresh flowers and a curated menu of delectable eats.

The intimate get-together toasted to Anderson, actress and activist who plays Blanche DuBois in Tennessee Williams’ production, A Streetcar Named Desire (at St. Ann’s Warehouse, out this Saturday). Looking as elegant as ever, Anderson wore a Morse Code embroidery dress from Gabriela’s fall collection. Notable guests Lauren Hutton, Poppy Edmonds, Stephanie de Lavalette, Jessica Iredale, Waris Ahluwalia, Ruth La Ferla, and Thomas Carter Phillips sipped on wine and enjoyed an evening filled with plenty of laughter and great conversation.
