New York-based designer Adam Lippes has launched an exclusive online collection with Matchesfashion.com. It marks the designer’s first foray into menswear following the launch of his womenswear line in 2013.

Lippes said “Our first Adam Lippes menswear collection is rooted in the same ideal as our iconic t-shirt: the desire to create those pieces from your wardrobe that you will always reach for… ones that mix total refinement with comfort and ease.”

The 16-piece collection features shirts, fine gauge knitwear, t-shirts, chinos and shorts. The aesthetic was inspired by relaxed U.S. men’s style and is made from natural fabrics like merino and cotton. Shirta (including a longer tunic version) come in three colors: white, powder blue and indigo. Three styles of crew neck and a sweatshirt were designed to be worn over shirting and T-shirts are featured in short-sleeved, long-sleeved and henley. The color palette is subtle, and includes powder blue, heather grey, navy, tobacco and white.

“‘We are delighted that Adam Lippes has decided to launch his first menswear collection with Matchesfashion.com,” said Damien Paul, head of menswear at Matchesfashion.com. “At the centre of his design ethos are the pillars of quality and fit, and this assured take on off-duty dressing should work for men of any age or style, working easily in any man’s wardrobe whether as individual pieces or for full looks. We are sure this will resonate with our global customer base and are delighted that he has chosen to partner with us online.”

The collection launched today with prices starting at $95.
