Monday night, the Lincoln Center Metropolitan Opera House was filled to the brim with both glimmering tutus and ball gowns alike, for the American Ballet Theater’s 75th anniversary diamond jubilee gala. New York notables and ballet’s most famous faces gathered to celebrate the company and view the stunning retrospective that featured excerpts from 23 different ballet masterpieces spanning more than seven decades and performed by people like Julie Kent, Paloma Herrera, Isabella Boylston, James Whiteside, and Misty Copeland.

The three-hour performance included speeches by Sigourney Weaver, ABT artistic director Kevin McKenzie and U.S. Ambassador Caroline Kennedy, before the current company took their final bows and were joined on stage by some of ABT’s most famous alumni. At 9:30, guests glided down to the Escada-hosted gala dinner where more dancing ensued (not ballet) and principals and company alumni emerged from backstage to join in the fun.

Guests made the most of the evening fashion-wise, turning up in an array of brightly colored, elaborate dresses that would have been just at home on the stage as they were twirling on ballet’s most exciting night. Here’s to 75 more years.

Attendees included: Jessica Stam, Brian Atwood, Jennifer Tilly, Coco Rocha, Jake Deutsch, Hailey Clauson, Britt Maren, Daphne Groenveld, Fe Fendi, Star Jones, John Demsey, Jennifer Creel, Cameron Silver, Indre Rockefeller, Giovanna Battaglia, Hamish Bowles, Anh Duong, Nigel Barker, Cristen Barker, Michelle Ochs, Carly Cushnie, Lauren Santo Domingo, Jamie Gregory, Jean Shafiroff, Ashley McDermott, Blaine Trump, Amy Fine Collins, Alexandra Lind Rose and Di Mondo.
