Aquariva’s Miami Arrival

Don’t be jealous of all the New Yorkers who are already in Miami for Art Basel. Be green with envy of anyone who buys one of the Marc Newson-designed Aquariva boats that were toasted last night with many dockside flutes of Dom Perignon at their first US sea launch at The Standard Hotel in Miami. How cool do Andre Balazs and Stuart Parr look barefoot on the boat? Talk about making an aqua-arrival.

Also on hand to toast the sleek Italian sea craft (which Newson updated to include tricked up accents like a laminated glass shield and hooks and handles that vanish when not in use) were: China Chow, Sante D’Orazio, Jane Holzer, Jeffrey Deitch and Johnny Pigozzi to name a few.

The boats are available at Gagosian Gallery and though they won’t fit under most trees, they make a perfect Christmas present. Vroom Vroom!
