Art aboard the orient express

Monday, March 7, 2011

If you are feeling anything like AVENUEinsider, an early case of spring fever has set in. This recent pairing of the top names in travel and art (The Orient-Express and The National Gallery in London) left me longing for a vacay…

The two teamed up to create a far-reaching journey by train and they will be launching 13 new itineraries this spring leaving art lovers in overdrive.

For moi, the trip would provide the perfect combo of learning and leisure: tutorials of some of the world’s top works and an experience at the places that inspired them. Sign. Me. Up.

Which would you choose? The life of Monet, where you tour Paris and the artist’s country home in Giverny or perhaps the a Venetian tour that explores the works of artists Giovanni Bellini, Titian, and Veronese…

Oh the places you’ll go!
