Association to Benefit Children holds annual Junior Committee benefit

Wednesday, July 2, 2014

Yesterday evening at the Empire Hotel Rooftop the Association to Benefit Children’s (ABC) Junior Committee held its 6th annual celebration of ABC’s Youth Services.

ABC’s purpose is to shed a positive light on children who suffer from abuse, neglect, sickness and homelessness. The organizations’ staff members provide these kids with compassion and bring joy and warmth to them and their families.

Some of the programs ABC conducts include early childhood education infants, toddlers and preschoolers, educational advocacy, housing assistance, mental health services, family support and preservation, crisis intervention, therapeutic out-of-school and summer day camp programs, youth leadership development and mentoring.

Guests enjoyed drinks and h’or doeuvres along with a spectacular view of the New York skyline. Some of these guests included Gretchen Buchenholz, the executive director of ABC, secretary of ABC Peter Buchenholz, Judy Holtzman, director of special projects at ABC and Michael & Lynne Wolitzer.
