On Saturday, August 20, AVENUE hosted its August party with feature subjects Leslie Tcheyan and Octavia Giovannini-Torelli of new jewelry label Of Rare Origin. The festivities were held at The Baker House 1650 in East Hampton.

The mother-daughter duo, who have spent summers at the family home in Montauk for decades, launched Of Rare Origin with their first, avian-inspired collection. The colorful pieces feature birds perched in various settings. The two work with ruby, jade, coral and lapis, among other gems and composites that help the designers achieve the desired shape, color, structure and lightweight feel. Guests were invited to wear the jewelry throughout the evening.

Attendees included Leslie and Octavia, as well as Colleen Rein, Maria Elena Christiansen, Amelia Doggwiler, Marina Peredo, Suzan Kremer, Consuelo Vanderbilt Costin, Frederico Azevedo and Antonella Bertello, owner of Baker House 1650. Guests mingled by the pool, drinking Vievité rose and Ivy Cuvee Blanc de Blanc from Turquoise Life and enjoying passed hot d’oeuvres. DJ Bobby K of Allen Dalton Entertainment Group provided the beats. A silent auction featured a pair of Of Rare Origin earrings, among other goodies.
