awesome auction: slash from guns n’ roses

Tuesday, February 22, 2011

Good news groupies—Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills is selling exclusive property from Guns N’ Roses/Velvet Revolver guitarist, Slash. Slash’s personal collection of guitars, clothing, accessories and jewelry (Cartier Roadstar wristwatch? yes please!) will be available for all of you high bidders.

Alas, let us relive the good ole days, sweet child o’ mine.

But, if you’re not into wearing anything of Slash’s (or anything from the 80’s or 90’s for that matter), the sale will also offer vehicles, as well as home décor from Slash’s years spent traveling the world: exotic Southeast Asian furniture, contemporary pieces, Velvet Revolver Nolde Pottery Skull, and a large collection of model dinosaurs crafted by noted Paleo-sculptors Bob Morales and Michael Trcic.

The exhibition itself is in good hands—designed by Rush Jenkins and Klaus Baer of WRJ Design Associates. Jenkins and Baer have many notable projects under their belt including The Collections of Michael Jackson, Cher and Barbra Streisand, as well as The Estate of Johnny Cash.

And while you’ll probably feel like a bad-ass with your new rocker gear, rest assured you’re also giving back: A portion of the proceeds benefits Los Angeles Youth Network (which Slash is heavily involved in).

So, if spring break brings you to the west coast, AVENUEinsider suggests you check out the exhibition and/or the live auction ( and welcome yourself to the jungle…
