Barneys Moves Downtown

Friday, January 8, 2016

Following in the footsteps of what seems like everyone and everything, mega-retailer Barneys New York is opening a flagship location downtown where it was first founded in the 1920s.

The new Seventh Avenue giant will occupy almost and entire city block in Chelsea–the same block where it was originally founded–to give the stylish residents of lower Manhattan five stories of clothing, cosmetics, a men’s barbershop, and a Freds restaurant.
