Bellisima in Armani

Thursday, April 7, 2011

On Tuesday night, fixtures from the fashion and social set flocked to Armani’s 5th Avenue flagship to toast “Momenti di Emporio,” a photo retrospective of images from Emporio Armani from 1989 to 2011, including photographs originally published in Emporio Armani Magazine.   Attendees the likes of Jessica Stam, Alice Eve, Karolina Kurkova, Jennifer Creel, Lauren Remington Platt and Cristina Cuomo dazzled in Emporio Armani whilst sipping champagne and admiring the iconic photography of Mario Testino and Michel Comte, among others.

The exhibition served as inspiration for the Emporio Armani Remix capsule collection, which also debuted at the store that evening. The collection – which is for both men and women – takes classic Armani silhouettes and fabrics and updates them in a modern and creative way, as would only befit the frequent Lady Gaga collaborator.  It will be sold at the 5th Avenue store and select Emporio Armani stores throughout May, while the exhibition will remain on display until April 26th.
