The Boys & Girls Club of the Bellport Area was extremely grateful for all who attended and volunteered for their 2014 Beach Ball fundraiser. It was held at the home of the new queen of Wall Street Alexandra Lebenthal and her husband Jay Diamond.

Lebenthal and Diamond served as honorary chairs for this year’s event. Barry Podgorsky was the ball’s chair. The Boys & Girls Club executive director Tracie Romandetti also served on the event’s committee.

The Boys & Girls Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Their mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need them most in the Bellport Area and increasingly from the South Shore, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

The Club has different programs in place to focus on six core areas. These are personal and educational development, citizenship and leadership development, cultural enrichment, health and physical education, social recreation and outdoor and environmental education.

Many businesses, patrons and corporate offices support the Club generously. This year’s benefactor sponsor for the beach ball was Knapp-Swezey Foundation.

Some of the guests who attended the event are television talk show host Charlie Rose, vice president of Epoch5 Jo Keim, Maria Pia, E’mani Peterson, friend sponsor Sarah Wolkowitz, Howard Read and Bob Tuzza.
