Cartier Reopens Iconic Fifth Avenue Mansion

The Cartier Mansion has long been a major landmark of New York City. It is essentially the palace of one of the world’s most acclaimed jewelry brands.

However, for the past two-and-a-half years, the mansion has been under construction as they worked to upgrade the historic space. That is, until the night of September 8, when the venue finally reopened.

Cyrille Vigneron, president and chief executive officer of Cartier International, and Mercedes Abramo, president and chief executive officer of Cartier North America, hosted the grand opening event.

The special host committee included Allison Sarofim, Andre Saraiva, Curtis Kulig, Daniel & Katherine Boulud, David Chang, Eric & Sandra Ripert, Fabiola Beracasa Beckman & Jason Beckman, Glenda Bailey, Graydon Carter, H.E. François Delattre, Hope Atherton & Gavin Brown, Iris Apfel, Kate Young, Katie Holmes, Patti Smith, Paul Sevigny, Prosper & Martine Assouline, Rooney Mara, Sofia Coppola and Thierry Despont.

Guests including Aimee Song, Bianca Brandolini, Cameron Silver, Chandler Parsons, Chang Chen, Charlotte Groenveld, Chloe Grace Moretz, Chuck Close, Chriselle Lim, Dustin Yellin, Edward Norton, Hailey ClausonIris BerbenJourdan Dunn, Laura Love, Leandra Medine, Leigh Lezark, Lewis Hamilton, Lola Rykiel, Margot, Martha Stewart, Mia Moretti, Neil Patrick Harris & David Burtka, Nick Wooster, Olivia Palermo & Johannes Huebl, Russell Westbrook, Ruth Negga, Sienna Miller, Sofia Sanchez de Betak, Taylor Schilling, TK Wonder and Cipriana Quann, Toni Garrn, Uma Thurman and Zachary Quinto, were greeted by Kacy Hill performing while atop a swing. On the second floor, the New York City Ballet delighted attendees with a special performance in front of the Princess Grace Salon.

The champagne flowed and that the canapés differed from floor to floor, including foie gras, scallops and mini roast beef.

The evening concluded with an after party where Chloe x Halle kicked off the musical entertainment, and a surprise performance came from Ellie Goulding and QuestLove to conclude the evening.

The Cartier Mansion has made a welcome return to Fifth Avenue.
