As the leaves begin to turn and the crisper weather arrives, I can’t help but enjoy the return of weekends spent in the city. My favorite part: sleeping in and hitting the weekend brunch scene in full force with a friend or two—or three.

Casa Lever, from the famed Sant Ambroeus restaurant group, recently debuted a new Saturday brunch menu, and I can assure you: It does not disappoint.

Some highlights: A décor that features a collection of colorful Warhol portraits beyond your wildest dreams, a killer spaghetti Bolognese that puts authentic Milanese fare to shame, berry puree and Prosecco “Vivaldi” cocktails (I’ll never order a mimosa again…) and a relaxing, live jazz-set to top off an impeccable and well-rounded brunch experience.

Located just off Park Avenue, on 53rd Street, below the glass box that is the art-filled Lever House, Casa Lever is an ideal spot to dine before a weekend shopping spree at Bergdorf’s and Barneys or a tour at MoMA or the Met.

Make sure to reserve one of the cozy banquettes—they’re the perfect size for a party of four with a “power” view of the whole setting. Then finish your meal off with the “Giandua” dessert—with milk chocolate, gianduia mousse and hazelnut cream and crunch—it’s top-notch.
