Last Friday, Halloween night, celebrities flocked to Lower East Side hot spot The Box to attend the Blood Ball – the first annual Halloween-inspired fundraiser, which raised crucial funds to support the work of Delete Blood Cancer.

More than 300 guests attended the benefit, including models Julie Henderson and Teresa Moore, Power’s Sinqua Walls and recording artists YestirDay and Lily Lane. The evening was filled with trays of hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, performances, dancing and music by MICK; an A-list DJ who has worked previously with Delete Blood Cancer and for Kanye West, Rihanna, Beyonce and Jay Z.

“Every four minutes, someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with a blood cancer,” explains Jaclinn Tanney, Director of Fundraising and Development at Delete Blood Cancer. “The Blood Ball was a great party and successful new way to raise awareness and share our message to a younger audience, while raising funds to help people battling these deadly diseases.”

Plans are underway to bring The Blood Ball to other cities in 2015.
