It’s not just for the Royal Family – a day of dignified glamour awaits all those attending the opulent sixth-annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic. On June 1st the picturesque grounds of the Liberty State Park, a sprawling 600 acre oasis with Manhattan’s skyline as backdrop, will be the setting for one of the summer’s most singular and star-studded social events.

Guests will experience the thrill of battle between world-renowned polo players and sample top eats from some of New York’s finest food trucks; Red Hook Lobster Truck, Mac Truck, Kortilla BBQ and Chinese Mirch to name but a few. A cold glass of VC or two will be on hand, of course: to wash it all down with, and to toast the kick-off of the summer!

Co-hosting this year are polo-ace Nacho Figueras and his wife Delfina Blaquier, along with Veuve Clicquot U.S President Vanessa Kay. In recent years this unique event has been attended by Naomi Watts, Zoe Saldana, Clive Owen, Rachel Zoe, Marc Jacobs, Minka Kelly, Jennifer Morrison and Padma Lakshmi among many others; and Veuve Clicquot expects an even more illustrious guest-list this June.

The event will benefit the Liberty State Park itself this year, assisting with the long-term, post-Sandy reconstruction. Tickets are just $40 and include ferry transportation to and from Manhattan to the park, or a convenient shuttle from the nearby rail stations. So get your Windsor on, and go to right now– tickets are selling fast.
