Chef Daniel Boulud Hosts 18th Annual Sunday Supper to Benefit Citymeals

Chef Daniel Boulud, Citymeals Board Co-President, hosted his 18th annual Sunday Supper on March 8 at his restaurant Daniel to benefit Citymeals-on-Wheels. 150 philanthropic New Yorkers gathered at the restaurant to enjoy a late-winter menu prepared by Chefs Jaques Chibois from La Bastide Saint Antoine, Markus Glocker from Bâtard Restaurant, Gabriel Kreuther and Daniel Boulud himself, and to celebrate this year’s theme “Black Truffles and Blue Jeans.”

The dinner also featured a live auction, which included items like an autographed copy of “My Best” by Chef Daniel and a 12-person dinner at Chef Chez Vous prepared by executive chef Jean Francois Bruel.

Citymeals Board Vice President Robert S. Grimes served as the Benefit Chair while Philippe Laffont, Ernie Thrasher and Leslie Ziff served as the Benefit Vice Chairs. Among the dinner guests were Citymeals Board of Directors Co-President Anne Cohen, as well as Citymeals Board Members Albert Behler, Joe Cohen, Suri Kasirer, Michael Lynne, Drew Nieporent, and Lillian Vernon. Other attendees included Katherine Boulud, Joel Buchman, Frank Gribbon, Dana Hammond, Rita Jammet, Herb Karlitz, Ninah Lynne, Barbara and Donald Tober, and Lally Weymouth.

The event raised $720,000, enough to fund the preparation and delivery of nearly 112,150 nutritious meals for homebound elderly New Yorkers. For more information go to:
