Chessy Rayner Estate Sale tomorrow!

Friday, November 4, 2011

One King’s Lane—the go-to site for interior designers—will make history this Saturday by launching the first ever online estate sale. And not just anyone’s estate; the items up for sale are from the personal collection of socialite and fashion icon Chessy Rayner. Gathered from the former Vogue editor’s homes in Manhattan, Palm Beach, Southampton and St. Martin, this estate sale is a collector’s dream! A vintage set of Louis Vuitton trunks, an 18th century French sofa, Christofle tea sets, vintage saris, coffee table books on Balenciaga and Tiffany and so much more!

Frustrated with Diana Vreeland’s overbearing reign, the young socialite left Vogue in 1964 to start a deisgn firm with her friend Mica Ertegun. The firm—MAC II as in Mica and Chessy—was known for its fashion-forward style and impeccable design, which Raynor herself described as “clean and not fussied-up.”

Log on to One King’s Lane tomorrow to check it out!
