Diamonds are a girl’s best friend! So it’s no surprise that every woman has a favorite shape of diamond whether it is a pear, princess or this one…

Dating back to 1902, this is the first signature cut to be patented. The stone is a stepped square cut diamond with cut corners, and is often wrongfully referred to as a “square emerald cut”. It reached the height of its popularity during the Art Deco period, but has enjoyed a recent resurgence due in part to celebrities sporting this cut on their engagement rings.
