On May 20, The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation partnered with American luxury house St. John to host its second fashion event called “Collaborating For A High Cure Tea.” Andrea Stark opened up the doors to her home in Manhattan, where guests including Dr. Samuel Waxman, Founder and CEO of the foundation and Pamela Morgan, Chair for the second year of the event were in attendance. Many of the event’s co-chairs and committee members also came out to show their support for the foundation.

The fashion-filled night featured St. John’s pre-fall collection (think sleek gowns, cocktail dresses, and of course, their signature knits and stunning separates). The collection was donned on and moderated by Marie-Charlotte Wood Joly, Director of Training Development for the brand.

Throughout the evening, attendees enjoyed delicious catered goods from CxRA, a division of Restaurant Associates. What’s more, is that St. John provided gift cards to guests to use towards a purchase at their Fifth Avenue boutique. Another perk is that 10% of the sale will be donated to the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation.

“Our foundation is fortunate to have such dedicated supporters,” Dr. Samuel Waxman stated in a release. “It is through their efforts and commitment that we are able to continue our work in research. We have made great inroads in finding less toxic treatments and cures. This could not be possible without the funds raised through events such as this.”

Co-chairs of the event were: Andrea Stark, Sharon Bush, Jane Pontarelli, and Lauren Lawrence. Committee Members include: Paola Bacchini, Maria Elena Christiansen, Consuelo Costin, Nicole DiCocco, Christina DeSimone, Lucia Hwong Gordon, Adrienne Kantor, Chau-Giang Thi Nguyen, Marion Waxman and Andrea Warnick.

Pamela Morgan will also serve as Chair of the “Hamptons Happening” event coming up on July 11 at the home of Maria and Kenneth Fishel in Bridgehampton.
