Mary Mahoney, Palm Beach’s iconic doyenne of all things exquisite for the table, hosted a cocktail party in her Worth Avenue shop to celebrate the publication of Gil Walsh Interiors: A Case for Color (Gibbs Smith) by Gil Walsh with Margaret Reilly Muldoon, and to welcome Milwaukee artist Carmelo Blandino and his dramatic floral paintings to Palm Beach. Proceeds from the event benefitted the Society of the Four Arts’ gardens.

Walsh is well known for her designs for some of Palm Beach’s most iconic homes, along with distinguished residences in Martha’s Vineyard and Western Pennsylvania. Blandino’s paintings have been featured in galleries in New York, Palm Beach, Naples, Atlanta and Milwaukee, as well as in Stockholm, Toronto and Montreal. His works have been acquired by the Brenau Museum in Gainesville, Georgia, and exhibited at the Baker Museum in Naples, Florida.
