The arch, feminine shoes and purses of au courant designer Charlotte Olympia have been flirting with rebellion in her collaboration with non-conformist jeweler Tom Binns. The collection apotheosizes the Met’s Costume Institute Exhibition: Punk: From Couture to Chaos, which will explore fashion’s appropriation of Punk’s democratic, DIY attitude.

Consequently, some of the most recognizable CO designs have undergone a transformation: the distinctive Kitty pumps have been reincarnated as the ANARCHIST KITTY model- think neon whiskers and hardware-piercings . Her classic clutch has been re-imagined: PUNK PANDORA exudes playful disobedience with its Perspex, safety-pinned update. The metallic DOLLY RIOT shoe demands attention in gold or silver, embellished and spiked with Binns’ pins.

This six-piece collection will preview at the Met Ball, but for the impatient among you will be available in store May 2nd. Snap ‘em up quick – they’re limited edition.
