The Metropolitan’s China: Through the Looking Glass continues to captivate, this time with a very special event with Nicole Kidman and Hamish Bowles.

The actress and the Vogue international editor-at-large talked about the importance of costume in film on Monday, July 20, in front of some of the most important people in the New York fashion scene.

The event examined the role of fashion and costumes in Kidman’s personal career, such as her Asian-inspired 1997 John Galliano for Christian Dior dress, which was out on display.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Met fashion event without a first-class guest list, including Anna Wintour, Wendi Murdoch, Vera Wang, Constance Jablonski and Keith Urban.

China: Through the Looking Glass has extended its run, and will now be on display until Labor Day.
