Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia Host Annual Luncheon for Lifeline New York

On Thursday, October 23rd, their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Princess Katherine, accompanied by Mrs. Alison Andrews and HRH Prince Dimitri, hosted the fourth annual Lifeline Benefit Luncheon at Le Cirque, New York, with a special guest appearance by Metropolitan Opera Baritone Željko Lučić.

Lifeline New York’s Board President David Hryck introduced Crown Prince Alexander, who welcomed guests including Lady Lully Gibbons, Cheri Kaufman, Susan Gutfreund and Kyle Wool. Prince Alexander also expressed his gratitude for his wife’s involvement with the foundation before lunch was served. Following appetizers, Cheri Kaufman introduced Serbian opera star, Željko Lučić, who performed a Verdi Aria accompanied by Mr. Djordje Nesic on piano. After lunch, Princess Katherine became emotional as she described the struggle that her country has been through, and the desperate need for medical supplies and equipment.

Guests included: Paula Bacchini, Susan Bakeer, Janna Bullock, Penelope Collins, Audrey Gruss, Lucia Hwong Gordon, Mush Katkol, Karen Klopp, Kamie Lightburn, Sirio Maccione, Brian Murphy, Maria Pellecchi, Della Rounick, Sana Sabbagh, Jean Shafiroff, Bill Slight, Dora Tomanovich, Christine Triant, Svetlana Wachell, and Dr. Ruth Westheimer.

The Lifeline Humanitarian Organization New York is a non-profit whose patron is Princess Katherine. Proceeds from the event will go towards the purchase of medical equipment for children’s hospitals in Serbia.
