Cipriani Wall Street played host to the ninth annual Delete Blood Cancer Gala on April 17. The event, presented by Delete Blood Cancer DKMS, was emceed by record producer and T.V. personality Randy Jackson, and featured a special performance by Kesha, including four of her top hits. However, as wonderful as the entertainment was, the signature moment of the night was when seven-year-old Kaleb Drummer was introduced to Cole Kennedy, the unrelated donor who saved his life. The meeting left many guests visibly moved, including the organization’s co-founder Katharina Harf who said, “To see a patient and a donor meet for the first time is like witnessing a miracle … At the same time, we have to do more for people like 23-year-old Anthony, who has relapsed four times, and his only chance is a bone marrow transplant.”

Bringing attention to cases like this is Delete Blood Cancer’s main goal; the organization works to inspire as many people as possible to register as bone marrow donors so more patients are given a second chance at life.

Guests like Olivia Palermo, Lily Lane, Anastasia Ganias, Peyton List, Derek Lam, Lauren Remington Platt and Bryanboy came out to support the event and help bring attention the the cause.
