Design Sixx’s Ode to Robert Isabell: “The event king of the world”

Friday, January 28, 2011

Bob and Cortney Novogratz, the design wizards, authors (their new book “Downtown Chic” is out now) and stars of Bravo’s “Sixx Design” turned their talents to the former Greenwich Village townhouse of legendary floral designer/events planner Robert Isabell.

Isabell was called “the king of the event world” by Anna Wintour and earned his crown by designing parties for everyone from the Kennedys to Studio 54 to a White House Christmas. Born in Duluth, Minnesota, Isabell sadly died young of a heart attack at age 57 in July of 2009.

The super talented Novogratz couple turned his townhouse into an Isabell homage – aptly titled “Ode to Robert Isabell.” Check out these interiors.
