This past Wednesday marked the much anticipated commencement of Spring 2012 fashion week in New York City. To fete the end of yet another flurry of fashion, Circa jewels teamed up with New Yorker’s for Children to celebrate French designer Sophie Theallet and raise money for their upcoming Fall Gala. Held in Lincoln Center’s Smart Courtyard, Circa CEO Chris Del Gatto and partner Veronica Webb along with a panel of generous hosts welcomed guests to the diamond encrusted soiree with champagne, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres that looked too good to eat. The event attracted the likes of NYFC supporters like Tinsley Mortimer, CFDA Director Steven Kolb and the deliciously tanned Nacho Figueras (seriously, how does he do it??) who were on hand to toast Theallet and a great cause.

Former New York Fire Commissioner, Commissioner of the Administration for Children’s Services, and founder of NYFC Nicholas Scoppetta was also on hand, and gave a moving speech illustrating the services his organization provides, and allowing a peek into what can be expected from their upcoming Gala. Fashion week can often make us forget the more important things in life, as we immerse ourselves in the luxury and decadence of parties and shows and this evening was a welcome reminder of our priorities.
