Eduardo Kac: The Lagoglyph Series

Wednesday, January 6, 2016

The New York premiere of Eduardo Kac‘s The Lagoglyph Series at Geary Contemporary kicks off Thursday with a special reception from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibition, which explores the artist’s examination of personal pictographic¬†language, will be on view from Jan. 7 to March 5.

The series itself has been in development since 2006 and is already receiving a slew of praise for its innovative multimedia and animation utilization. The Lagoglyphs are reflections of their inspirations: rabbits and their playful forms, with video that Kac describes as an “allegory for the proliferation of new narratives in the 21st century.”
