Elizabeth MacDonald can do it all, from financing to being an author

Wednesday, June 11, 2014

Yesterday evening at Forbes Gallery on Fifth Avenue, Steve Forbes hosted a launch party for Elizabeth MacDonald‘s new book Skirting Heresy: The Life and Times of Margery Kempe. MacDonald is a admired journalist who created Forbes Magazine‘s “The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women” annual ranking.

The book, published by Franciscan Media, is a bold new look at the mystery of the first English autobiographer Margery Kempe. It gives a new level of understanding to the 15th century and acknowledges that Kempe was indeed the Patron Saint of Gossip (be mindful that no such patron saint actually exists).

MacDonald has worked for The Wall Street Journal and Forbes Magazine and currently works for Fox Business. She is diverting her attention from the finance world to the Middle Ages.

Forbes speaks highly of MacDonald, he said this book was a “dazzling achievement” for her. Guess it’s no questions why he hosted her book’s launch party.

News anchors and journalists dominated the guest list for this party including Lindsay Roginski, Jo Ling Kent, Stuart Varney, Cheryl Casone, Nicole Petallides, Melissa Francis and Gretchen Carlson.

It was a glorious evening that celebrated the success of one of finance’s most powerful women.
