EPICUREANS ASSEMBLE! NEW TASTE FESTIVAL IS BACK

Peckish? Then join the flock of discerning gourmands who will descend upon Columbus Avenue for the New Taste of the Upper West Side Festival. In its sixth year, this two-night foodie-feast champions the culinary culture of New York’s Upper West Side—showcasing the neighborhood’s top chefs and restaurants. This community festival has blossomed into a world-class event, and what’s more all proceeds go towards local community projects. This year’s hosts are Travel Channel’s Adam Richman along with Top Chef Judge and Food & Wine Special Projects Director Gail Simmons. Best of the West honorees are Danny Meyer, CEO of Union Square Hospitality Group and Randy Garutti, CEO of Shake Shack.


Laid back casual food is the order of the day on May 31st; Comfort Classics promises new takes on old favorites from over forty of the neighborhood’s top spots like Ditch Plains and Magnolia Bakery. Get your brine on at Jacob’s Pickles, or if Parisian whimsy’s your thing then head down to Sugar & Plumm.


June 1st turns up the glamour with Best of the West, where the focus is on the finest of wine and cuisine. Join chefs such as Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Michael Lomanaco and Marc Murphy who will be cooking up their signature dishes, alongside others from Blue Ribbon Sushi, Bar Boulud, Café Tallulah, Dovetail and Red Farm.
