Erin Fetherston Screening “Charms” the Fashionable Flock

Tuesday, March 25, 2014

The newly opened soho eatery NAVY played host to an intimate soiree and screening on Thursday evening to celebrate Erin by Erin Fetherston‘s Autumn 2014 collection. Fetherston collaborated with up and coming filmmaker Rebecca Fourteau – daughter of photographer Ellen Von Unwerth –  on a short film entitled “Charmed, I’M SURE.”

The film is a sly take on the lore of mid-century finishing schools, complete with Fetherston starring as the Academy’s headmistress.  The designer cheekily pokes fun at her polished veneer as she offers instruction in beauty, posture, charm and social graces. Models Jasmine Poulton, Jana Wirth, and Diana Rosa also appear in the film.

Heather Graham joined a number of boldfaced names for the celebration, including proud mom Ellen Von Unwerth, Gabriel Saporta, Edward Tricomi, Jamison Ernest, Linda Vojtova, Tennessee Thomas, Will Cotton, Rose Dergan, and Organic Gemini’s Mariam Kinkladze, who is chicly sporting a seven-month bump. The film played on loop whilst the fashionable crowd gathered at small tables to enjoy chef Camille Becerra‘s seafood and vegetable focused menu and refreshed themselves with both Organic Gemini and Peroni Beer. A “charming” way to spend one of our first spring evenings, of that we’re sure.
