Erin Wasson: Queen of Collaborations

Thursday, August 25, 2011

Model turned designer Erin Wasson has quickly made a name for herself OFF the runway for a number of design ventures she’s embarked on over the past few years. From designing her own line of jewelry Low Luv (which this Insider simply can’t get enough of) to collaborating with retailer RVCA, she’s certainly taken the lead when it comes to multi-tasking models (think Rose Huntington-Whitely in Transformers-yikes). With Wasson’s latest collaboration she’s turned up the volume and collaborated on a capsule collection for French luxury lifestyle brand Zadig and Voltaire.

Available in September on Net-a-Porter and in Z&V stores worldwide, the look book as well as images of some of the pieces we can expect were recently released and the results are pretty impressive. From a suede twist to the classic denim-cutoff to a “gotta have it” leather zipper adorned vest this collection is quintessentially Wasson. Coming from the queen of model-off-duty, I-just-threw-this-on style, there’s no doubt this collection will be flying off the racks in no time. Credit cards at the ready ladies! This is going to be a race you don’t want to lose.
