Thursday, October 25, 2012

Erno Laszlo, a leading skincare brand since 1927, is re-opening The Institute in New York City after 40 years. The new institute from the iconic brand will open shop in SoHo, on West Broadway (in the former Te Casan space) beginning in November 2012.

As part of this grand opening celebration, Erno Laszlo is will have a free Marilyn Monroe exhibit from Oct. 30th – Dec. 31st at The Institute. Monroe was one of Laszlo’s muses and a frequent visitor of the original Institute on 40th and 5th back in its heyday— right along with Grace Kelly, Jackie Kennedy, Ava Gardner and more.

The exhibit will showcase a variety of Monroe-related items—many of which have never before been seen in the U.S. On display will be exclusive make-up, clothing and miscellaneous items that Monroe wore and used including her mink fur hat, pink satin evening stole, glasses and more.
