This morning, we had the incredible privilege of attending a breakfast with Sue Harmsworth, founder of ESPA, at The Gotham Lounge in the Peninsula Hotel. Our chat primarily centered around ESPA’s groundbreaking LIFESTAGE facial treatment, which it’s bringing to New York at the Peninsula Hotel Spa starting this week. The facial is one of the brand’s most highly sought-after treatments in spas and resorts throughout Europe.

The LIFESTAGE facial treatment highlights ESPA’s pioneering skincare range and utilizes the latest facial massage techniques to reveal immediate benefits. Three superior products–the Stage Release Moisturiser, Net8 Serum, and Stage Release Eye Moisturiser–makeup the LIFESTAGE skincare range, all made from a unique blend of ten pure and concentrated extracts. These products are delicately fragranced (the smell is to-die-for) with Rose Damascena, Neroli, and Jasmine Absolute, and target the most visible signs of aging by strengthening sagging skin, stimulating elasticity, and smoothing wrinkles. Skin is firmer and plumper, while lines are instantly minimized. ESPA’s LIFESTAGE facial and products are recommended for those ages 45 and over.

Sue Harmsworth, ESPA’s gorgeous founder who swears by the product and at 69-years-old doesn’t look a day over 45, created the brand in 1993. ESPA is the world’s first total spa company, specializing in innovative design, development, and management of five-star spas across the glove. It offers over 3 million treatments per year and has over 450 spas in 50 countries.

To our New York readers or those who are often consumed with stress, Sue recommends ESPA’s exclusive bamboo massage, which will also be available at the Peninsula’s Spa. The treatment soothes the muscles and joints with the use of heated bamboo sticks, encouraging the transmission of natural energy and bringing a sensation of rejuvenation to the body and mind. We can’t wait to give it a try!
