When Chanel calls, the AVENUEinsider comes running – even when we are jet-lagged from Oscar weekend in L.A. and the NYC weather is as cold as ice.

Last night, Chanel hosted a very exclusive dinner at La Grenouille (L’AVENUEinsider adores La G!) for Blake Lively who is now the ambassador (chose by Karl Lagerfeld himself) for the label’s new “MADEMOISELLE” line of handbags. Lively was very alive in winter white Chanel and NYC’s A-List flocked around her upstairs for champagne and then in the dining room for delicious food. We double-kissed Tory Burch (who we had just seen at the Vanity Fair Oscar party), Jamie Tisch, Gigi Mortimer, our January AVENUE cover it-girl Hannah Bronfman, Waris Ahluwalia, Allison Sarofim, Byrdie Bell (in amazing Alejandro Ingelmo for Chris Benz shoes), Stella Schnabel, Andre Balazs, Hope Atherton, Cristina Greeven Cuomo, Andre Saraiva and Annabelle Dexter-Jones, cute couple Sean MacPherson and Rachelle Hruska (in very sleek Chanel), Fernanda Niven, Marjorie Gubelmann, Bonnie Morrison, Lauren Remington Platt, writer Darrell Hartman, Cristina Greeven Cuomo, photographer Claiborne Swanson Frank (our new crush), Dalia Oberlander, Nick Brown, Harley¬†Viera-Newton, Christopher Tennant (now at Vanity Fair), actor Justin Long and Julia Frakes who at just 21 is not just a fashion icon (she modeled for Lanvin) but also the next big voice of the style monde. Want to know what’s next on the runway? Follow Frakes on Twitter!

After a fancy feast, guests went back upstairs where La Grenouille, a fave of femmes who lunch, was turned into a dessert lounge and disco by DJ Nick Cohen, who had just flown in from Aspen. How cool is Chanel?
